Addition to Project 4

I thought I would take a another shot at making another AMV, and this is what I came up with.

Project 4

December 8, 2008

My husband and I were watching Final Fantasy Advent Children a while ago, so I thought I would take a shot at doing a AMV with clips from this movie. I had trouble finding a program that would RIP my DVD, so I played the movie, with my camera on it’s video setting and recorded clips. I found a video converter so that I could work with the clips in Windows Movie Maker…because I hate working with Adobe and Apple products. I was originally just going to turn the volume down at the end of the 1 minute limit, then decided that if I were going to do a AMV, I ought to do it right. So the video is almost 4 minutes long.

Project 3

I may post further on this later. I decided that the base of this web landscape would involve frogs, I don’t know why…it just had to be frogs. I think I will try one on my own with Dante’s Inferno.

For this project, I selected a theme of my vision. As far I can remember, I saw a lot of things by reading not how the object/person/animal…fit in the space, but how the space fits around the object/person/space. I later discovered that I read this way, too. Rather than reading the words, I would read spaces between and around the words. I still read this way, and it sometimes can be painful. This slide show is just a visual explanation of this… a visual explanation that I happen to not like very much, but I think that’s what happens when I do an image a day.

(and of course, youtube hasn’t processed the video, so I will have to add the video later…)

Project 1

My interest in the issue of human trafficking gave me the idea for this poster. There aren’t many posters on sexual slavery, so I wanted to lean in that direction. I started researching the issues of huamn trafficking a few years ago, when there was not a whole lot of information on the topic, and no images addressing the issues. When I started researching posters for this project, I only found a couple, so I had no idea what a poster on this kind of issue should look like. I had chosen a portrait that I had take several years ago, used a vinette tool, a black background and a white text.
